Beth Y. Karlan, MD, is an internationally renowned expert in the field of women’s oncology and a gynecologic cancer surgeon. She is director of the Cedars-Sinai Women’s Cancer Program at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute, one of the nation’s top 10 gynecologic oncology programs. Dr. Karlan holds several prestigious appointments, including a professorship with the American Cancer Society. In 2012, she was appointed by President Obama to the National Cancer Advisory Board of the National Cancer Institute.

BJ Rimel, MD
BJ Rimel, MD, is a gynecologic oncologist at Cedars-Sinai and associate director for gynecologic oncology clinical trials in the Women’s Cancer Program at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute. Dr. Rimel’s research focuses on the barriers that prevent women from being enrolled in clinical trials. She has developed an award-winning online women’s research registry and continues to work on novel clinical trial recruitment strategies.
